The Douglas County Sewer District will be doing some maintenance work on the Biofilter Odor Control System at the Waste Water Treatment Plant on Tuesday through Sunday of next week, August 26th – 31st 2025. The existing biofilter material, which is similar to shredded tree roots, filters the off-gases of the treatment process to reduce odor and is nearing the end of its useful life. During this time, there may be noticeable odor coming from the plant. We apologize for any inconvenience and will do our best to keep odor to a minimum.
